Multi-Project Management

Projects have assumed and continue to assume a key role in the activities associated with the changes that business ventures undergo. With increasing acceleration and change in the demands of the marketplace and in the internal processes devised to address them, it is becoming ever more difficult to bring about successful development of business ventures.

Research relating to multi-project management at HSW deals with holistic management and controlling of the project landscape. Successful management of a multiplicity of projects is a challenge today for major companies and SMEs alike.

If you are interested in becoming a cooperating partner and implementing innovative projects, then please feel free to contact Prof. Timm Eichenberg of the Multi-Project Management research unit.

  • Projects

Past findings have been compiled most notably in the published compendium Handbuch Multiprojektmanagement. The first edition of this handbook was published in 2007. The handbook highlights the substantive enrichment of the developed conception of multi-project management.

In this context the following topics in particular are explored:

    • The introduction of multi-project management in the SME sector

    • The use of agile methods in multi-project management

    • The implementation of portfolio board decisions
